Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Air-fit Suncream Plus Review

Choosing a physical sunscreen that doesn’t overly lighten my skin tone is difficult because I have a medium skin tone. After some time of looking, a buddy suggested that I should try the Madagascar Centella Air-fit Suncream Plus from Skin1004. See why it’s become my favorite.

Skin1004 is a popular cosmetic brand in Korea that entered the beauty industry in August 2012 and is now popular in Korea and many other nations. All Skin1004 products are committed to employing natural components that are benign and safe for all skin types, especially sensitive skin. The Centella line of products, which uses the extract of the Centella Asiatica plant from the Madagascar region, a pure and nutrient-rich substance for the skin, is specifically what gives the brand its reputation.

About my skin

My skin type is dry-combination. In contrast to the dry skin on the cheeks, the T-zone will be oily. Since my skin dries more in the winter, the T-zone generates less oil, and my face gets drier. I also occasionally have some blackheads around my nose and a few hidden pimples on my cheeks; despite that, I don’t have much acne.

About packaging

Regarding product packaging, the style is minimal, with simply brown and white as the primary colors and black fonts, yet it is nonetheless elegant in a basic, appealing style. Particularly fascinating is how the paper cover feels like velvet. The case is hygienic, constructed of plastic, and quite durable.

About texture and scent

The sunscreen’s texture is a liquid cream in lotion form, so when applied, it will be incredibly thin, fast absorbed, and with barely perceptible white streaks. When left on the skin for a while, it absorbs into the skin and just slightly lightens the skin tone. Physical sunscreens often have a thicker consistency and more color, so I was very surprised. Because of its light texture, we can use it as a priming alternative. The cream has a faint Centella scent, is slightly milky in hue, and has a light cream tone. I’m a little sensitive to aromas, so at first, I didn’t enjoy it, but after a few days, I got accustomed to it.

The results 

This one does fairly well, in my opinion, in terms of moisturizing capacity. Since I have dry combination skin, I typically need to hydrate extremely well before using sunscreen and makeup to prevent a cakey surface. But when I merely misted my face after washing it and used this product, my skin still received enough moisture and did not become dry or flaky.

The capacity to control oil is also quite good; my T-zone didn’t have much oil, possibly because of my dry skin. However, I questioned some of my friends who have oily skin and use this product, and they all gave it a thumbs up.

Because of the product’s liquid texture, I used it rather quickly. Even though this product contains a significant amount of Centella extract, users will need more time to see if it works to lighten dark spots and restore their skin.

Note

An important note is that while the business claims that this product is suitable for all skin types, the ingredient list contains two oil-based components, Citrus and Rosa Damascena, which can irritate delicate skin, so individuals with sensitive skin should be cautious.

Madagascar Centella Air-fit Suncream Plus offers exceptional UV protection for the skin with an index of up to SPF 50+ and PA ++++. Niacinamide, which is present in the product, is a safe skin-lightening ingredient that can improve skin radiance by boosting skin immunity, controlling sebum production, and suppressing melanin. While using it, it helps to hydrate and keep the skin soft for 24 hours without having to worry about the skin becoming dry or lacking in moisture.

How to apply

You can apply this sunscreen once or twice daily. Use it after applying facial mist spray if you have oily skin; moisturize well before applying if you have dry skin.

It’s incredibly easy to apply sunscreen. Take a sufficient amount of Madagascar Centella Air-fit Suncream Plus, spread it evenly to your entire face, and then massage and pat your skin until the cream is completely absorbed. To get the optimum results, apply it 15 to 30 minutes before going outside, and if you are active outdoors frequently, reapply every 4-6 hours.

Madagascar Centella Air-fit Suncream Plus contains a variety of skin-beneficial natural extracts, including Centella extract, Cocoa, Bergamot, Licorice, and Green tea. The item is also free of mineral oils and parabens.

• Centella Asiatica Extract (35.8%): This extract can restore moisture, stimulate collagen production in connective tissue, repair skin damage, and support the growth of even brighter skin. Additionally, this ingredient can block the development of skin-damaging bacteria and stop inflammation in acne-affected areas.

• Madecassoside: A substance found in Centella extract that has anti-inflammatory, calming, wound-healing, collagen-stimulating, antioxidant, and barrier-enhancing properties.

• Cocoa Extract: This extract, which is rich in fatty acids, replenishes moisture to make the skin soft and ruddy, soothes the skin, helps to prevent and treat acne, and slows down the aging process.

• Cyclomethicone: This ingredient replaces the skin’s lost moisture, leaving it feeling smooth rather than greasy or sticky.

• Inositol: This substance, sometimes known as vitamin B8, is a type of sugar that is the primary ingredient in lecithin, which has the function of holding water and preserving moisture in the skin.

• Tocopherol (vitamin E): This substance has anti-inflammatory properties, reduces swelling, prevents skin inflammation, improves skin suppleness, and protects skin from UV rays.

• Niacinamide (vitamin B3 derivative): This is a common cosmetic component. This chemical forms a protective layer on the skin, reducing excess oil, clearing pores, increasing ceramide, and making the skin brighter and more even. It also helps with acne and skin aging.

• Rosa Damascena Flower Oil: This essential oil comes from a species of rose plant, and it has aromatherapeutic, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties.

• Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil: This oil is produced from flamingo blooming plants that may be used to create smells and product textures.
